LG Chocolate KG800

The LG Chocolate was awarded first place for Fashion Phone of the Year at Mobile Choice Magazine's 2006 awards. LG Shine U970

Sony Ericsson K800i

The Sony Ericsson K800i is the first camera phone to sport Sony's Cybershot brand mark and with a 3.2 Megapixel camera - the first to go above 2, it lives up to the standard. The camera is set on the back and the main screen acts as viewfinder, turning the phone on its side makes it act and feel like a real camera and with an expandable memory card slot taking Sony's M2 Micro memory chip up to 2GB in size, you can seriously consider leaving your conventional camera at home. Picture quality is good, Xenon flash and red-eye reduction come as standard but with these options you will have to get used to a slight lag (as in most digital cameras), the only downside is that video recording quality is really not good, video playback however is excellent. Much more than this, is the fact that the Sony Ericsson K800i is a truly operational 3G phone, fast UMTS internet allows you to blog your photos straight from your phone, browse the internet and download all sort of 3G content at speed. A front-mounted camera allows for video calling too. It all comes in a compact size with a smart snap back sliding lens cover and easy to manage keypad. There really isn't anything bad to say about the Sony Ericsson K800i, it is an excellent phone, functional, easy to use, fully 3G compatible and with such a good camera it is no wonder that it scooped the much coveted Best Mobile Phone of the Year at the Mobile Choice 2006 Consumer Awards.
