Sony Ericsson Mobile Phones

Sony Ericsson is a 50:50 joint venture between the Japanese consumer electronics giant Sony and the Swedish telecommunications company Ericsson. The partnership, created in 2001 was created to make mobile phones and both companies have since stopped making mobile phones independently. This merger combines Sony's consumer electronics knowledge with Ericsson's telecommunications expertise and has a led to a fantastic range of multimedia phones that build on Sony's brand - taking pictures and videos or playing music while functioning seamlessly with emerging telecommunications technologies like super fast 3G UMTS Internet. Proof of the success of this partnership is that the Sony Ericsson K800i picture phone was last year's bestseller and voted Phone of the Year by Mobile Choice Magazine.
